Football Recap: Somerset Academy Collegiate Comes Up Short

Somerset Academy Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 66-50 bruising from the D'Hanis Cowboys.

Cannon Zachry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for D'Hanis, rushing for 247 yards and five TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Evan Craft, who rushed for 40 yards and one score.

Somerset Academy Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for D'Hanis, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Somerset Academy Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 58-14 defeat against Hill Country Christian School of Austin on the 10th. As for D'Hanis, they have also already played their next game, a 27-26 win against La Pryor on the 10th.
