Softball Recap: El Reno Indians vs. Newcastle Racers
After flying high against Santa Fe South on Thursday, El Reno came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Newcastle Racers on Saturday, falling 13-5. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Racers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Brailynn Vickery made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
El Reno's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Newcastle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-1 record this season.
El Reno will take on Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newcastle, they will face off against Norman North at 6:00 p.m. on October 6.
