Baseball Recap: Woodland Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Woodland had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Morrow on Saturday. The Wolfpack were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Mustangs. The win was just business as usual for the Wolfpack, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Cj Avery was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Paxton, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Woodland's record is now 3-0. As for Morrow, their record now sits at 0-2.

Looking ahead, Woodland will challenge Adairsville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Morrow, they will take on Mount Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
