Basketball Game Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Yuba City Honkers

The Roseville Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Yuba City Honkers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It was a proper cat-fight when Roseville duked it out withEl Dorado on Saturday. Roseville took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Dorado. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Yuba City took a blow against Foothill last Friday, falling 59-28. While losing is never fun, the Honkers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 827th, while the Cougars are ranked 189th).

Jazlene Casolis was Yuba City's leading scorer, having posted six points. Kristiana Nicoletti held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Yuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Roseville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Roseville came up short against Yuba City when the teams last played back in February, falling 40-30. Can Roseville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
