             Vacaville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against  the Fairfield Falcons on Tuesday, falling  57-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the  54-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in January.
 Despite the  loss, Vacaville had strong showings from  Jania Jackson, who  scored six points along with 15  rebounds, and  Lula Kifle, who  scored nine points in addition to two  steals. Another player making a difference was  Britain Gonzales, who  scored four points.
 Even though they lost, Vacaville  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfield only pulled down two.
  Natalie Chavez had a dynamite game for Fairfield,  going 9 for 11 en route to 24 points plus five  rebounds and two  steals. The dominant performance also gave  Chavez a new career-high in  field goal percentage (82%).  Alaisha Mathis was another key player,  posting seven points in addition to six  rebounds and six  steals.
 The  win made it two in a row for Fairfield and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 Vacaville has already played their next matchup,  a  59-18  victory against Woodland on the 3rd. As for Fairfield, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  46-32  win against American Canyon on the 29th.
