Basketball Game Preview: Redbank Valley Bulldogs vs. Penns Manor Comets

The Redbank Valley Bulldogs will square off against the Penns Manor Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Redbank Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 58-31 victory over South Side. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games in a row.

It was another big night for Mylee Harmon, who went 8-for-14 en route to 20 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Redbank Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adyson Bond, who posted ten points along with seven assists and six rebounds.

Redbank Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 19-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Penns Manor made easy work of Aliquippa on Tuesday and carried off a 52-29 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.

Redbank Valley's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Penns Manor, their victory bumped their record up to 24-5.

Redbank Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Penns Manor in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, winning 65-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Redbank Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
