Softball Game Preview: St. Joseph's Academy Angels vs. St. Pius X Lancers

The St. Joseph's Academy Angels will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the St. Pius X Lancers at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for St. Joseph's Academy and ten for St. Pius X dating back to last season.

St. Joseph's Academy fell victim to Eureka and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Wildcats.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when St. Pius X and Valley Park meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Lancers came up short against the Hawks, falling 17-2.

St. Pius X's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. Joseph's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
