Soccer Game Preview: Palatine vs. Hersey

The Palatine Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Hersey Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palatine is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Palatine came up short against Fremd and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, Hersey didn't have quite enough to beat Elk Grove on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Hersey came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Elk Grove are ranked 96th).

Palatine's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Hersey, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-5-1.

Palatine couldn't quite get it done against Hersey in their previous matchup last Monday as they fell 2-0. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
