Football Recap: Drew Apodaca Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Schurr

Bonita won the last time they faced Schurr and things went their way on Friday too. The Bearcats walked away with a 14-7 win over the Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.

Bonita's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Apodaca led the charge by rushing for 67 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Bonita's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Schurr, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Bonita and Schurr will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Bearcats see the field they'll take on Colony at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Schurr, their break will end when they face San Gabriel at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
