Baseball Recap: Pace Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pace Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Harris County Tigers by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Knights' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Charles Smith was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Miles Mador made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Davis Morrison, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Pace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Harris County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-9.

As of now, neither Pace Academy nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
