Softball Game Preview: Pekin Panthers vs. Wapello Indians

Pekin is 0-10 against Wapello since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pekin is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to Mediapolis. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, Wapello came up short against Louisa-Muscatine on Tuesday and fell 9-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Wapello's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Pekin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.

Pekin couldn't quite get it done against Wapello in their previous matchup on June 6th as they fell 4-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
