Basketball Recap: Hill School Takes Down Ranked Pennington

Hill School is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Pennington. The Hill School Rams walked away with a 52-42 victory over the Pennington Red Hawks. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Red Hawks back in November of 2024, they had to take a 61-54 loss.

Hill School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Soller, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Kara Syernick, who posted 13 points.

Hill School's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Pennington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Hill School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-39 defeat against Blair Academy on the 15th. Pennington has also already played their next contest, a 48-40 loss against Northern Burlington on the 14th.
