Mendocino has gone 10-0 against Anderson Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mendocino Cardinals face off against the Anderson Valley Panthers at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Mendocino lost to Round Valley on the road by a 50-32 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Anderson Valley posted their closest win since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 victory over Laytonville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Mendocino's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Anderson Valley, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Mendocino didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Anderson Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mendocino since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
