Softball Recap: Elbert County Takes a Loss

If Elbert County was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Washington-Wilkes on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils came up short against the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines on Saturday, falling 13-5. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Elbert County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Elbert County will square off against Pike County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Winder-Barrow at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
