Baseball Recap: Quincy Orioles vs. Concord Yellowjackets
Quincy can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Concord Yellowjackets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Orioles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

JJ Wright made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has become a key player for Quincy: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-10 otherwise. Wright was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

The Orioles will take on Lumen Christi Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (303 vs. 24). Meanwhile, Concord (ranked 465th) will meet Grass Lake (ranked 162nd) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
