Volleyball Game Preview: O'Connor Eagles vs. Liberty Lions + Official Tickets

O'Connor has won six straight games at home, while Liberty has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Eagles will welcome the Lions at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

O'Connor had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Mountain View on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Toros 3-0.

While O'Connor won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-9, 25-12.

O'Connor found their leader in sophomore Anabelle Cummings, who had 11 digs and five aces.

O'Connor was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Liberty not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Queen Creek.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for O'Connor, their victory bumped their record up to 23-5.
