Football Recap: St. Thomas Academy Piles Up the Points Against Burnsville

St. Thomas Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Burnsville Blaze to the tune of 49-14. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.

Dominic Baez had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Baez is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 111 every time he's taken the field this season. Manny Sims did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 82 receiving yards.

St. Thomas Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Burnsville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Thomas Academy will welcome Chanhassen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burnsville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Two Rivers at 5:00 p.m.
