Football Recap: Bisbee Skates Past Tombstone with Ease

Bisbee's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Tombstone Yellow Jackets, posting a 46-0 victory. Considering the Pumas' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Hunter Wright had another great game (as he tends to do), picking up 281 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 215 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. That's the most receiving touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Tryston Meyer was another key player, throwing for 365 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bisbee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 313 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Bisbee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aden Kroger and Wright. Fabian Hernandez was another major factor on D, making 20 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Bisbee's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Tombstone, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Bisbee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 21-16 defeat against Palo Verde on the 17th. As for Tombstone, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-0 loss against Tanque Verde on the 17th.
