Lincoln had won 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 6-2 to make it 12. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Belleville West Maroons, sneaking past 46-43. That's more bragging rights for the Railsplitters, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lincoln got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brody Tungate out in front who went 8-for-15 to rack up 17 points. Karson Komnick was another key player, shooting 46% from the field en route to 18 points and six boards.

As for Belleville West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since January 31st.

Belleville West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Micah May, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was J'Dyn Lloyd, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will be home for the holidays to greet Springfield Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Railsplitters will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Belleville West, they are taking a road trip to take on Alton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
