Football Recap: Logan Kohler Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley

Bradford's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley by a score of 28-16. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Bradford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Kohler, who rushed for 103 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Kohler's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Andrew Giordano was another key player, rushing for 58 yards on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bradford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Bradford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Fabian Sherk, Kohler, and Braylon Little picked up one apiece.

Despite the loss, Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley had strong showings from Shane Magee, who rushed for 121 yards and one score, and Dawson Welch, who picked up 92 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The victory got Bradford back to even at 1-1. As for Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bradford and Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Owls will square off against rival Punxsutawney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Coudersport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
