Football Recap: Newcomb Comes Up Short

Newcomb managed to slip by Tohatchi the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Skyhawks lost 26-6 to the Cougars on Friday. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

This is the second loss in a row for Newcomb and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Tohatchi, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Newcomb will venture away from home to face off against Loving at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tohatchi, they will host Gallup at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Bengals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
