Basketball Recap: Choctaw's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Choctaw had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Yukon Millers by a score of 65-53. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Millers are ranked 129th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Choctaw has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points over those games. Yukon is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

As of now, neither Choctaw nor Yukon have any future games scheduled.
