Soccer Game Preview: Timpanogos vs. Summit Academy

The Timpanogos Timberwolves will take on the Summit Academy Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Timpanogos has three straight victories, Summit Academy has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Summit Academy heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Timpanogos took over last week. The Timberwolves won by a goal and slipped past Provo 3-2.

Timpanogos hit the Bulldogs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Izzy Pierce, Bree Bentley, and Madisyn Searle.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Summit Academy's offense. They lost 13-0 to Uintah on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Summit Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Uintah are ranked 34th).

Summit Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Timpanogos, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Timpanogos took their victory against Summit Academy in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
