Softball Recap: Darlington Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Darlington extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 1-4. They fell 12-7 to the Coosa Eagles. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

As for Coosa, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-11. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Coosa's part, Dixie Orebaugh was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Orebaugh a new career-high. Ginny Gresham was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Looking ahead, Darlington will take on Walker at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Coosa, they will square off against Fannin County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
