Softball Recap: Riverdale Ridge Falls Short Against Ranked Blue Springs South

Riverdale Ridge is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Blue Springs South. The Ravens fell 6-3 to the Jaguars.

Jerzi McArthur made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Kiana Cordova was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Riverdale Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Blue Springs South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Riverdale Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Prairie View on the 9th. As for Blue Springs South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-4 loss against Liberty on the 6th.
