Basketball Recap: Golden Valley Skates Past JW North with Ease

Golden Valley saw some tournament action on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-21 win over the JW North Huskies. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 29 points or more this season.

Leading Golden Valley to victory were Krysta Ezenwa and Brighton Blythe. Ezenwa almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards, while Blythe posted 20 points. Blythe's big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. Noa Hawks was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Golden Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for JW North, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
