Basketball Recap: Magnolia Gets the Win

Magnolia won the last time they faced Wood County Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blue Eagles snuck past the Wildcat with a 35-31 victory.

Wood County Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Arnold, who posted six points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Parsley, who put up three points and 13 boards.

The win got Magnolia back to even at 1-1. As for Wood County Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Magnolia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cameron at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Wood County Christian, they will take on Heritage Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
