Softball Recap: Alcovy Takes a Loss

Alcovy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-2 to the George Walton Academy Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Alcovy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for George Walton Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Alcovy will head out to challenge Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Walton Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Oconee Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
