Football Game Preview: Northwest Rankin Cougars vs. Meridian Wildcats + How To Watch

The Northwest Rankin Cougars will face off against the Meridian Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Rankin will be strutting in after a win while Meridian will be coming in after a loss.

Northwest Rankin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 33-29 victory over Pearl on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 42-21 to Oak Grove. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Warriors are ranked 14th).

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northwest Rankin, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
