Basketball Recap: St. Patrick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Patrick extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were outmatched by the Long Beach Bearcats and fell 63-33. The Fighting Irish were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-16.

As for Long Beach, they now have a winning record of 2-1. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 7, 2024 (when they won 62-8).

Keveun Smyers had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Leroy Cameron, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 13 points and six steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Patrick will challenge East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Long Beach, they will face off against Vancleave at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
