Winder-Barrow is 8-2 against Apalachee since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Meanwhile, Apalachee entered their tilt with Clarke Central on Friday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Gladiators.
Apalachee's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Russell Malcom, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Malcom's first of the season.
The victory got Apalachee back to even at 7-7. As for Winder-Barrow, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-5.
