Valencia had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Kirtland Central Broncos to the tune of 48-6. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Michael Storms III was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 223 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 128 rushing yards dating back to last season. Valencia also got a significant boost from Santino Mares, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 101 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valencia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 345 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kirtland Central only rushed for ten rushing yards.
