Baseball Recap: Banks Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rainier on Tuesday, Banks came back down to earth. The Braves took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warrenton Warriors on Wednesday. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Ryder Powell made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Banks has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Warrenton, their win bumped their record up to 22-7.

As of now, neither Banks nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
