Softball Game Preview: Sturgeon Bulldogs vs. Paris Coyotes

The Sturgeon Bulldogs will head out to take on the Paris Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sturgeon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Sturgeon's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrisburg on Wednesday. Sturgeon has struggled against Harrisburg recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Sturgeon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Paris didn't have quite enough to beat Canton on Tuesday and fell 6-4.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Sturgeon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1.

Sturgeon suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Paris when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
