Soccer Game Preview: Capistrano Valley vs. San Juan Hills

The Capistrano Valley Cougars will face off against the San Juan Hills Stallions at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Capistrano Valley's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Capistrano Valley gave up the first goal last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They beat Aliso Niguel by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, San Juan Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Trabuco Hills. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Mustangs are ranked 124th).

San Juan Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Capistrano Valley, the win got them back to even at 5-5-4.
