Basketball Recap: Ballou Falls to Potomac Senior in First Game of Season

Ballou unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Potomac Senior Panthers on Tuesday, falling 61-37. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Dominic Mack was a one-man wrecking crew For Potomac Senior. as he went 9-for-13 to rack up 19 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Harlem Lyons, who posted 11 points.

Potomac Senior pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Ballou will be taking part in a tournament against Flint Hill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Potomac Senior, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Friendship Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m.
