Softball Recap: North Murray Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for North Murray's offense. They came up short against the Rockmart Yellowjackets on Thursday, falling 8-0. The Mountaineers just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

North Murray saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Beavers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

North Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Rockmart, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. North Murray will face off against rival Coahulla Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Rockmart is set to take on their familiar foe Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
