Soccer Game Preview: Troup County vs. Trinity Christian

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Troup County face off against Trinity Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Troup County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Spalding by a score of 3-1. Braidyn Patrick had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Upson-Lee, sneaking past 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Troup County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6.

Troup County beat Trinity Christian 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Troup County repeat their success, or does Trinity Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
