Softball Game Preview: Crawford County Eagles vs. Hawkinsville Red Devils

Crawford County is 2-8 against Hawkinsville since August of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. Hawkinsville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Crawford County, who comes in off a win.

Crawford County is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home last Friday. They never let Flint River Academy get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Eagles not only won last Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19, 2024 (when they won 12-0).

Treutlen hit Hawkinsville with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils lost 9-1 to the Vikings.

Hawkinsville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Fowler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Crawford County skirted past Hawkinsville 7-6 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
