Recap: Shade Panthers vs. Windber Ramblers
This season hasn't been kind to the Shade Panthers, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They were outmatched by Windber on the road and fell 54-21. Shade has struggled against Windber recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Windber to victory were Kaylie Gaye and Mariah Andrews. Gaye scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Andrews scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Andrews has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Shade's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Windber, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shade and Forbes Road will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Windber, they will be playing at home against Blacklick Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blacklick Valley will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
