Softball Recap: Fossil Ridge Comes Up Short

Fossil Ridge lost against Lutheran back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The SaberCats took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Briella Myers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Rylee Bullers was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lutheran, the win (which was their 27th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Fossil Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-8 loss against Pueblo West on the 22nd. As for Lutheran, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Valor Christian on the 21st.
