Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Schley County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mt. Zion beat the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 later that day.
