Shade extends road losing streak to six

This season hasn't been kind to the Shade Panthers, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They were outmatched by Cambria Heights on the road and fell 64-30. Shade was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.

Sienna Kirsch was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds for Cambria Heights. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Kirsch has scored at least a third of Cambria Heights' points. Malina Gaida was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.

Shade's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.2 points per game. As for Cambria Heights, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shade will challenge Ferndale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ferndale is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Cambria Heights, they will head out on the road to take on Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Portage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cambria Heights in Pennsylvania (Portage is ranked 35th, while Cambria Heights is ranked 320th).
