Basketball Recap: Lynbrook Comes Up Short

If Lynbrook was feeling good fresh off their 52-26 takedown of Irvington last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lynbrook Vikings were outmatched by the Arroyo Grande Eagles and fell 72-27. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lynbrook moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. As for Arroyo Grande, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynbrook will take on Fremont at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Arroyo Grande, they will take on Newark Memorial in a tournament on Monday. Arroyo Grande knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Newark Memorial likes a good challenge.
