Basketball Preview: Gustine Reds vs. Delhi Hawks
Gustine is 10-0 against the Hawks since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Gustine Reds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Delhi Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Gustine, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-32 loss to the Wildcats. Gustine was down 44-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Delhi, who are still winless after their 14th matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 57-2 loss at the hands of Orestimba. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Delhi has scored all season.
Gustine's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Delhi, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Gustine against the Hawks in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 46-18 victory. Does Gustine have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
