Volleyball Recap: Fremont Extends Winning Streak to Four

Fremont posted their closest win since September 7, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Battle Creek Braves. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Fremont found their leader in freshman Everleigh Kerkman, who had ten digs and one assist.

Jaidyn Smutny and Piper Storm certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Smutny had 17 digs and two aces, while Storm had eight digs.

Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Battle Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will host Lincoln Northeast at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Battle Creek, they will welcome Wakefield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
