The Polytechnic Panthers will square off against the Marina Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Polytechnic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.

Polytechnic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 66-44 margin over Shalhevet. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Firehawks are ranked 386th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Polytechnic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Areni Ohanian, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Ohanian is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games she's played. Maggie Scholze was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.

Polytechnic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 31 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Marina was able to grind out a solid victory over Holy Martyrs Armenian on Saturday, taking the game 54-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Polytechnic's record is now 23-6. As for Marina, their record now sits at 17-13.
