It's playoff time, and Salesian College Preparatory had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears by a score of 61-51 on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Pride, who have now won three games in a row.

Salesian College Preparatory got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Vanessa Parilla out in front who posted 20 points. Janiya Sawyer was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Salesian College Preparatory's win bumped their record up to 23-10. As for Sierra Pacific, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-9.

Looking ahead, Salesian College Preparatory will head out on the road to face off against Caruthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caruthers knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Salesian College Preparatory likes a good challenge. Sierra Pacific does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
