Softball Recap: Hebron Christian Now 13-1 over Last 14 Games + How To Watch

While Hebron Christian's win against Westminster wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions skirted past the Wildcats 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since September 13th.

Kate Kennedy tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lauren Kyranakis was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Rylie Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Hebron Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hebron Christian will face off against Apalachee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Westminster, they will square off against Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
