Lee County is 8-2 against Columbus since August of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Trojans will square off against the Blue Devils at 8:00 a.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Thursday, Lee County didn't have quite enough to beat Coffee and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, Columbus lost 13-1 to Northside on Tuesday.

Columbus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addi Hart, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 14-10-1. As for Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Lee County couldn't quite finish off Columbus when the teams last played back in September of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
